Mayor Wasowicz, in an attempt to fill the trustee seat vacated by George Pastorino, requested the village board approve the appointment of former village trustee and mayor Ed Rusch Jr. until the next village election. After a long pause trustee McGee suggest that the appointment go back into committee for review. Clearly the mayor was disappointed in the boards reluctance to approve his suggested appointment considering a quorum of trustees caused a scheduled committee to be canceled earlier this month, when only one of the four trustee’s  appeared for the meeting. The mayor, realizing the necessity of filling the vacant seat to continue village business in an orderly manner, has faced continued opposition from the current trustees.
